Milli-Anna

Private Collection

Milli-Anna is an original oil painting created on canvas, with the aim of capturing more than just a recognisable likeness.

I enjoy the process of building a portrait in oils, gradually developing layers of colour, light and tone to create depth and character. The medium allows me to work into the details while still retaining the expressive qualities of the brushwork.

For me, the most successful portraits are the ones where you feel there is something of the person behind the image. With Milli-Anna, the focus was on capturing that sense of character and individuality while creating a painting that works as an artwork in its own right.

This original painting is now part of a private collection.
